SOFT SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
Fast Learner
The most important skill I have is my ability to learn. I learn very fast and can adapt to whatever the needs of the employer are. I am undaunted by new challenges and seek to learn new things wherever possible.
Strong Manager
I have experience managing talented professionals and wish to continue managing. I am adaptive to the needs of my team. When a strong team is in place, a light touch is all that is needed to drive success. I also have experience managing individuals that require more direct intervention.
Communicator
I recognize the importance of strong communication within an organization. Transparency, professionalism and documentation are paramount to effective operations.
Self Motivated
I am driven by a sense of pride to always perform at my top level. I am eager to go into work each day.
Disciplined and Organized
I consider myself highly displined and organized. I believe organized work environments lead to smoother operations and higher quality of work.
Resourceful & "Scrappy" Problem Solver
I am used to working in conditions where resources are minimal, the stakes are high and the problem seems insurmountable. I love finding innovative solutions in these scenarios.

TECHNICAL SKILLS & ABILITIES
Machine & Fabrication Shop
I have years of daily experience with various machine shop equipment. For the majority of the machines I designed, I was also the one making the parts and frames. I am comfortable with:
-
Manual Knee Mills (Bridgeports)
-
Lathes (Clausing, Southbend & More)
-
CNC Mills (KM30 controls and MachMotion controls)
-
Manual feed surface grinders (Harig)
-
Welding (MIG & Oxy-fuel)
-
Various other tooling (drill presses, hand tools, etc)
Electrical Wiring and Design
For all the machines I built, I designed and wired the electrical systems. I've designed and fully built more electrical cabinets than I can count.
Robotics
I am experienced with Fanuc Robots. I have integrated a Fanuc SCARA in a build, repaired several six-axis' and programmed a handful. I also have replaced harmonic reducers, fixed wiring harnesses and performed PMs.

I have also integrated and programmed two PreciseFlex Cobots.
CAD
When I started at Automatic Spring Products Corporation, we were still designing machines in 2D CAD (AutoCad) and transitioned to 3D CAD in 2017 (Autodesk Inventor). I personally designed all the mechanical parts for my machine builds and did electrical schematics in AutoCad (standard edition, not electrical). I feel confident I would have no problem transitioning to other parametric 3D software like SolidWorks.
PLC, HMI & Drive Programming
I am very experienced in Allen Bradley's industrial ecosystem. I've written numerous programs from the ground up and troubleshooted tons of legacy code.
I have limited experience in Siemens TIA Portal but do enjoy the interface a lot.
For drives, I am most experienced with Lenze drive systems and have very limited experience with PowerFlex drives.
Computer Programming & Technology
I am an experienced programmer that has been programming recreationally since I was a kid. I've been programming professionally for 9 years. Languages and technologies I've worked in include:
-
AI systems: Meta Llama, Google Tensor Flow, OpenAI GPT APIs
-
Languages: Python, C#, VB variants and more.
-
Databasing: T-SQL
-
Interfacing: Rest APIs, OPC, MQTT, Webhooks
-
Network communications
-
Computer engineering & hardware design
-
PCB design and outsource fabrication

NATURAL ABILITIES
&
Disposition
High Intelligence
Normally modesty would prevent me from discussing this, but as this is a job search, it is important to give an honest overview of who I am.
I am very fortunate to be gifted with a high IQ and am a member of Mensa. I've been evaluated by a licensed psychologist to have an IQ of 145 on the WAIS-R intelligence scale. This gives me a percentile score of 99.85%. I do have full documentation that I can provide upon request.
IQ is a sensitive topic that can never really be discussed without being perceived as boastful. As such, I never, ever bring it up in the workplace but instead prefer my intelligence to be recognized by strong performance and successes against the challenges presented to me. I am eager to put my intellect to work for you.
Style Analysis
At Automatic Spring, we performed a "style analysis" that looks at what our personal values are when managing, being managed and accomplishing goals. The primary categories were:
-
Task and Speed
-
People and Persuasion
-
Stability and Harmony
-
Perfection and Analysis
My results skewed heavily toward Task and Speed followed by Perfection and Analysis.
I find these results to be an accurate reflection of myself as I am goal oriented and always want to do better.
Personality & Teamwork
I consider myself mostly reserved. I don't think of myself as either an introvert or extrovert. During meetings, I love to engage and drive the discussion to the task at hand. I feel confident in talking to lots of people. When you first meet me, you would probably consider me highly extroverted. However I also have lots of introverted characteristics. I like to stay in my office and quietly be "in-the-zone" rather than being highly social.
